Small Planet Airlines is a European leisure carrier with its permanent bases in Poland, Germany and Lithuania, also having seasonal bases in Europe and Asia. Main responsibilities

  • To ensure that the activities of Small Planet Airlines GmbH are monitored for compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements, and that these activities are being carried out properly under the supervision of the relevant head of functional area
  • To ensure that the compliance monitoring program is properly implemented, maintained, continually reviewed and improved
  • To facilitate hazard identification, risk analysis and management
  • To monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks
  • To provide periodic reports on safety performance
  • To organize safety management training and to ensure that it meets acceptable standards
  • To ensure initiation and follow-up of internal occurrence/accident investigations

Desired skills and experience

  • Have a relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional education acceptable to the approving competent authority and 5 years of relevant work experience of which at least 2 years should be from the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position, OR have 10 years of relevant work experience of which at least 2 years should be from the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position
  • Have knowledge of relevant type(s) of aircraft (A320Fam) and Fuel Tank Safety (Part I) gained through a formalized training course
  • Have basic knowledge in continuous airworthiness management
  • Have well established knowledge within the following areas:
    • Compliance Management – Principles and Practice in an Aviation Environment
    • Auditing and survey techniques (with examination)
    • EASA basic regulations EC No 216/2008, 965/2012 (Air-Ops) and 1321/2014 (Part M) and all related regulations, requirements and procedures
    • Company manuals from OM A to D and CAME
    • Other relevant legal acts
  • Have practical experience and expertise regarding the operation and maintenance practices of commercial aircraft and in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
  • Be familiar with management systems, preferably in the area of aviation and have appropriate management experience
  • Be able to think strategically, plan and organize, collect and analyze information, show initiative
  • Be fluent in written and spoken German and English
  • Be hardworking, communicative, and responsible
